Outrigger makes senior Phi Phi Island appointment
By Lachlan Colquhoun 11 July 2012
Marc Landgraf has been appointed as manager of the Phi Phi Island Beach Resort and Spa, effective from July 1.
The experienced Landgraf, who was previously General Manager at the Cape Panwa Hotel & Spa in Phuket, takes the role just as the Phi Phi Island property is being upgraded.
The upgrade includes the refurbishment of the existing beachfront bungalows and the inclusion of 38 new Deluxe Garden Bungalows.
The resort will officially change its name to Outrigger Phi Phi Island Reort and Spa in November.
Landgraf's 17 year industry experience also includes a senior role as General Manager of the Paradise Koh Yao, also in Thailand.
Darren Edmonstone, Outrigger's managing director in the Asia Pacific, said Landgraf's strengths were "implementing standard operating procedures" as well as cost control, team building and motivating personnel.
