Luxury hotel group Langham Hotels International has signed a management agreement for a property in Guangzhou, China with Hong Kong property developer Nan Fung Group.
 
The 488-room hotel will be branded under Langham Place and will be connected to the Guangzhou International Convention and Exhibition Center. It is scheduled to open in 2013.
 
The property will have a strong design element with interiors by Yabu Pushelberg.
 
Meeting facilities for the Langham Place, Pazhou, Guangzhou will include a 3,000 square metre space.
 
“Together with Nan Fung Group, we are creating China’s most stimulating hotel in what is already being hailed as an iconic architectural design, delivering international guests a recognizable and innovative brand from which to do business in the region or enjoy an inspiring getaway,” said Langham CEO Brett Butcher.
 
Langham operates three brands: The Langham, Langham Place and Eaton. It currently has 20 hotels, including affiliates, open or in the pipeline across four continents.
 
Upcoming properties for Langham in the Asia Pacific region include: Langham Place, Beijing; Langham Place, Beijing Capital Airport [7]; Langham Place, EDZ, Guangzhou; Langham Place Miora Resort + Spa, Kalim Bay, Phuket; The Langham, Sukhumvit, Bangkok; and Langham Place, Phayathai, Bangkok.
