The current economic climate has been brought about by a number of factors. One of the most pivotal and talked about factors has been the credit crunch, which has seen a sustained period of careless lending across the financial sector. While this has many effects on the financial world, it mainly results in a stifling of consumer and business activity, due to a loss of market confidence.
 
It is this stifling of activity throughout the globe which has the potential to most negatively impact the hospitality industry. However, if hoteliers act fast and seek out advice and support, they should be able to fully navigate the tough times ahead, according to Klaus Kohlmayr, director of IDeaS Advantage, who looked into systems (be it an automated system or a manual process) that can be used to ensure that ongoing revenue potential is both safeguarded and optimized.
