Top 25 hotels in Asia from Trip Advisor

The Taj Lake Palace Udaipur has been named as the best hotel in Asia by travellers in the Trip Advisor’s 2012 Travellers’ Choice awards.
The Udaipur property, owned by Taj Hotels Resorts & Palaces, currently has 519 reviews on the Trip Advisor website, of which 464 have given it the top ranking of excellent. It was followed in the Asia ranking by Cocoa Island Resort, South Male Atoll, and the Layana Resort & Spa, Ko, Thailand.
The Trip Advisor awards, which are based on traveller reviews on its site, named the Shangri-La Hotel in Tokyo as the top luxury hotel in Asia as well as the top luxury hotel in the world. Desa Sani in Langgu, Indonesia was voted best hotel in Asia for relaxation and spa, while The Quincey Hotel by Far East Hospitality in Singapore was named Asia’s trendiest hotel. In addition, the Pavillon d’Orient Boutique Hotel, Siem Reap in Cambodia won the highly coveted best service award.
