Starwood rolls out eMenus tool in Asia Pacific
03 September 2010Starwood Hotels & Resorts is rolling out in its Asia Pacific properties a new eMenus tool aimed at facilitating event planning for MICE professionals.
According to the firm, e-menus enable customers to have direct access to the banquet and catering menus, either through starwoodmeetings.com, the hotel’s branded web pages or through links inserted into emails and proposal documents. Starwood’s eMenus are available in multiple languages and are updated 24/7 by the hotels.
Hotels already offering the tool in the region include Le Royal Meridien Shanghai, Royal Orchid Sheraton Bangkok, Sheraton Imperial Hotel Kuala Lumpur, Sheraton on the Park Sydney, Sheraton Saigon Hotel & Towers, W Hong Kong, The Westin Beijing Chaoyang, The Westin Kuala Lumpur, The Westin Langkawi Resort & Spa, and The Westin Resort Nusa Dua Bali.
Starwood said it plans to introduce the tool at 'many more' of its hotels in the region.
"Not only are eMenus more environmentally sound than paper menus, they can be viewed by anyone, anywhere with access to the Internet,” said Starwood Hotels & Resorts, Asia Pacific vice president of sales Alison Taylor. “We are thrilled with the launch of this new tool for meeting planners and it further illustrates the importance we place on making it easy for our customers to do business with us.”
