St. Regis to open 10 new hotels

By HMA Staff 20 April 2011

St. Regis Hotels & Resorts has announced plans to open ten new hotels and resorts in the next twelve months across the globe.

The list includes three new China properties to be located in Tianjin, Sanya, and Shenzhen.

“This is an extraordinary time for St. Regis as we open ten new hotels and resorts, making it the most important year in the brand’s history since John Jacob Astor first opened the St. Regis Hotel in New York City over a century ago - a legacy we are committed to honoring with our brand’s signature hallmarks in the world’s most exciting and diverse global destinations,” said Paul James, Global Brand Leader, St. Regis Hotels & Resorts and The Luxury Collection. “Featuring exceptional custom-tailored guest experiences and services, each new property will further position St Regis as the luxury hotel brand of choice for today’s global elite.”

The luxury hotel group will open the St. Regis Tiajin in fall 2011 featuring 284 guest rooms.

Also opening in the fall is The St. Regis Sanya Yalong Bay Resort, situated on China’s premier resort destination, Hainan Island, located in the southern-most point of China. The St. Regis Sanya Yalong Bay Resort offers 33 guest rooms in addition to 40 suites and 28 beachside villas.

The group’s third opening in the fall will be the St. Regis Shenzhen, a 289-room property.

In Thailand, the group opened earlier this month the St. Regis Bangkok and The Residences at The St. Regis Bangkok. The property boasts 176 guestrooms, 51 suites and 53 private residences.
