Sofitel Luxury Hotels inks deal for hotel in Haikou

Sofitel Luxury Hotels has signed a management contract which will result in the opening of a property in Haikou on Hainan island.
An agreement was signed between Sofitel Luxury Hotels, Hainan Tiantuo Investment Exploit and Jinyi Real Estate Development.
Scheduled to to open in early 2014, Sofitel Haikou will be located along Seaside Avenue, which is located in the heart of Haikou’s financial district.
The hotel will have 398 guestrooms, meeting rooms, a business center, as well as spa and fitness facilities. It will also have a ballroom, eight multi-function rooms plus an indoor and an outdoor swimming pool.
“The location of the new hotel is prime. Together with Hainan Tiantuo Investment Exploit and Jinyi Real Estate Development, we believe Sofitel Haikou will be a tremendous success, and a valuable addition to the Sofitel network in greater China and the region”, said Markland Blaiklock, senior vice president Sofitel Asia Pacific.
