Starwood Hotels & Resorts has continued its push for the Sheraton brand in China with the opening of the Sheraton Jiaozhou Hotel in Shandong province.

Owned by Qingdao Greentown Jiaozhou Bay Real Estate Development Company, the new Sheraton will be managed by Starwood.

Starwood has a pipeline which includes 12 new Sheraton hotels slated to open this year, driven by strong demand in second and third tier cities.

The Sheraton Jiaozhou includes 270 rooms, including 31 suites. Each room features a flat screen LCD TV.
