01 February 2010
The Sheraton Hanoi hotel has received an award from the Ministry of Trade and Industry for environmental excellence.
The hotel company claims it is one of the first international hotels to deploy environmental technology for saving energy in Vietnam.
Measures taken by the company include benchmarking energy and water consumption, total waste production and community commitment alongside implementing an integrated environmental and social policy, the company said.
“This environmental excellence award is recognition of our efforts to maintain and develop a cleaner environment,” said Matthew Everson, general manager of Sheraton Hanoi Hotel.
