Shangri-La takes over Holiday Inn Male

Luxury hotel operator Shangri-La Hotels & Resorts has purchased the Holiday Inn Male.
 
The 117-room hotel was previously managed by InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG).
 
It is understood the Shangri-La group plans to rebrand the hotel under its mid-market Traders brand.
 
Earlier this year, Shangri-La rebranded the Hotel Jen in Hong Kong under its Traders brand.
 
Shangri-La Hotels & Resorts currently owns and/or manages 66 hotels under its Shangri-La and Traders brands.
