Shangri-La to open three new properties in China

Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts has announced plans to open three new hotels in North China in 2013: Shangri-La Hotel, Qinhuangdao; Shangri-La Hotel, Tianjin; and Shangri-La Hotel, Tangshan.
The 320-room Shangri-La Hotel, Qinhuangdao will be an urban resort in the Haigang neighborhood. The hotel will feature a 1,200 sq.m. ballroom, a health club, and other recreational facilties.
The 535-room Shangri-La Hotel, Tianjin will stand in the Kerry Centre complex. The hotel will have a 2,000 sq.m. ballroom, a Horizon Club lounge, a sky lounge, an all-day dining restaurantm a Chinese restaurant and a lobby lounge and bar.
Shangri-La Hotel, Tangshan will be located in the Phoenix New Town development. The hotel will feature 370 guest rooms and suites, a lobby lounge, a 1,375 sq.m. ballroom, an all-day dining restaurant, a Chinese restaurant and other specialty restaurants.
The luxury hospitality group currently has 37 hotels in operation or under development in China, according to its website.
