Shangri-La launches new hotel brand

Shangri-La International Hotel Management Ltd has debuted its new five-star hotel brand Kerry Hotels with the opening of a new property in Shanghai.
 
The 574-room Kerry Hotel Pudong, Shanghai opened on February 18.
 
The hotel features seven floors allocated to Club accommodation including 33 suites.
 
It showcases a new dining concept called The Cook, The Meet and The Brew. Developed by boutique design consultancy Stickman Tribe, the concept consists of three separate dining/entertainment areas: a main à la carte restaurant seating 365 people with 11 show kitchens (The Cook); a pub (The Brew); and a steakhouse and grill (The Meet).
 
“Kerry Hotels will appeal to the business traveller who prefers a vibrant and relaxed environment without compromising on service or quality.  The hotels are contemporary in style and provide a seamless link between business, entertainment and recreation.  Extensive leisure facilities are designed to become a social activity hub for both hotel guests and the local community,” said Greg Dogan, president and chief executive officer of Shangri-La International Hotel Management Ltd.
 
Meeting facilities are provided with more than 7,300 square metres of space including two ballrooms, the 2,230-square-metre Grand Shanghai Ballroom and the 1,018 square metre Pudong Ballroom, which can be interconnected.
 
The hotel offers an introductory package, valid till May 31, priced from RMB1,688 plus tax. This includes deluxe room accommodation, breakfast for two and a RMB300 dining credit plus complimentary wired and wireless Internet access.
