Hotel companies using the Room Key search engine now have access to real-time rates and availability through a new integration with the SynXis Central Reservation System from Sabre Hospitality Solutions.

Rom Key is owned by six of the world's leading hotel companies and was launched in January this year. The participating companies are Choice Hotels International, Hilton Worldwide, Hyatt Hotels Corporation, InterContinental Hotels Group, Marriott International and Wyndham Hotel group.

Room Key is designed to deliver relevant hotel information tailored for convenient hotel shopping, an in May the beta tag from Roomkey.com was peeled off the and the offering enhanced with new tools for travelers including consumer reviews and a shortlist tool for hotel shopping.

Felix Laboy, president of Sabre Hospitality Solutions, said Sabre customers wanted to improve their distribution strategies, and the relationship with Roomkey addressed that need.

"Last week, we completed the first implementations with several of our large SynXis CRS customers and it was flawless," Laboy said.

"The connection is now available to all of our CRS properties who want to participate."
