Regent switches distribution to Sabre
15 November 2011Regent Hotels & Resorts has announced a new distribution deal with Sabre Hospitality Solutions.
Regent has switched its global distribution system (GDS) chain code, RE, to the SynXis Central Reservation System as of November 14. In addition to GDS distribution, Regent hotels will have access to Sabre Hospitality Solutions’ marketing across all channels, including online travel agents (OTA), direct connects, the Guest Connect website booking engine, call centre services and mobile booking platforms.

We received numerous positive testimonials about Sabre’s successful implementation process, which was a critical factor in our selection criteria,” said Ralf Ohletz, president of Regent Hotels & Resorts. “The breadth of hospitality solutions and experience Sabre Hospitality Solutions provides will be a powerful benefit to us as we continue to grow.”
In a statement, Regent said the decision was in part motivated by the 2010 acquisition of the Regent brand by Formosa International Hotels Corporation (FIHC). Formosa had seen Sabre deliver successful results to its other hotel brands and decided to leverage that experience with Regent, the statement said.
