Regal signs for property in Zhengzhou

Hong Kong hotel operator Regal Hotels has signed an agreement to open a five-star hotel, Regal Yuhong Hotel in Zhengzhou, Henan, China.

The 310-room hotel, developed in collaboration with He Nan Yuhong Real Estate Company Limited, is scheduled to open in 2011.
 
The announcement is Regal’s second major signing this month; earlier the group announced plans to open a four-star business hotel in Suzhou. 
 
Belinda Yeung, executive director and chief operating officer of Regal Hotels Group said, “We are excited to be partnered with He Nan Yuhong Real Estate in this hotel project which represents another step forward of Regal’s development in China.”
 
Liu Zhanwei, chairman of He Nan Yuhong Real Estate Company Limited, added: “We are pleased to be working with Regal Hotels Group in our hotel project in Zhengzhou. Regal has an excellent reputation in the hospitality industry. With their professional hotel management and expertise, I am confident that the Regal Yuhong Hotel will set remarkable standards in the city.”
 
Regal Hotels International Holdings Limited currently manages six hotels in Hong Kong, three hotels in Shanghai, one hotel in Chengdu and one hotel in Dezhou. Together with the hotels under development, Regal Hotels has over 6,000 guest rooms and suites and over 50 restaurants in its portfolio.
