Regal Hotels to open hotel in Suzhou

Hong Kong-based hotel operator Regal Hotels International Limited is to open a four-star business hotel in Suzhou.
The hotel company announced this week it had signed an agreement with local developer Suzhou Sicheng Real Estate Company Limited (Sicheng Group) on the hotel project.
“We are honored to be able to partner with Sicheng Group in this major hotel project,” said Regal Hotels Group executive director and chief operating officer Belinda Yeung.
“The Regal Fanhua Centre Hotel will be another major addition to our China hotel portfolio in Greater China. Suzhou is known worldwide as the ‘Venice of the Orient’ and tourism has become the leading sector of the city's modern industry. While continuing the momentum in our hotel network expansion, we are confident that our professional team will deliver high quality management standards to the hotel and become a star performer when the hotel opens in 2013,” she added.
The 280-room Regal Fanhua Centre Hotel is scheduled to open in 2013.
Regal Hotels International Limited currently operates six hotels in Hong Kong, one in Chengdu, one in Dezhou, and three in Shanghai. Projects in the pipeline include the Regal Xindu Hotel in Chengdu.
