Raffles gears up for Tianjin opening

Raffles Hotels & Resorts is gearing up for the opening of its second hotel in China – the Raffles Tianjin.

The luxury hotel, which will be the tallest penthouse hotel in Tianjin, is scheduled to open by March 2010.

Occupying the top 36 to 50 floors of the Tianjin Centre's West Tower, Raffles Tianjin will have 116 rooms including 22 suites.

The hotel will offer five F&B facilities and also boast a spa with 10 treatment rooms.

The hotel is managed by Gilbert Madhavan who was appointed general manager in July 2009.

The property will be Raffles Hotels & Resorts’ second in China following the opening of the Raffles Beijing Hotel in 2006.
