Movenpick adds hotels in Philippines and Vietnam

By Lachlan Colquhoun 05 September 2012

Movenpick Hotels & Resorts is continuing its ambitious global expansion and has announced it will manage two new hotels in Vietnam and the Philippines.

The new properties are the Movenpick Resort & Spa, Quy Nhon in Vietnam, and the Movenpick Hotel Makati in Metro Manila in the Philippines.

The Manila property is set to open in 2016 and will feature 304 rooms as well as 250 residences. The hotel will include Chinese and Japanese food outlets. It will be Movenpick's third property in the country.

In Vietnam, the Quy Nhon property will also be the company's third hotel in that country. The 180 room resort will strive for the highest environmental standards, and be built on a isolated cliff overlooking the South China Sea.

It is scheduled to open at the end of 2015.
