Swiss International appoints industry veteran

Swiss International Hotel & Resorts ha appointed Shelia Nair as Chief Advisor as it continues its expansion across India and South Asia.

Ms Nair is a 25 year veteran of the Indian hospitality industry and comes from senior leadership roles with the Taj Group, where she was responsible for the launch of the Ginger brand.

Swiss International has announced ambitious growth plans in the region, targeting 50 hotels in the three, four and fie star categories across South Asia and India by 2017, as part of a plan to introduce over 150 hotels worldwide.

"Ms Nair's extensive backgroun in business development, strategy, business planning and the creation of new business ventures across various market segments will provide momentum to the launch and growth plans of Swiss International Hotels & Resorts," said Anupam Narayan, chaiirman and managing direcot of Swiss International in Asia.
