Mobile device for HK tourists launched

By HMA Staff 09 August 2010

Mobile content provider Mobile Guide (HK) Limited has developed a new mobile device targeted at tourists visiting Hong Kong.

Launching late August, ‘ask Ting Ting’ is an interactive, electronic mobile device that contains video tours, as well as suggestions for dining, shopping, entertainment and sports & recreation.

Features on the device include a Hong Kong SIM card, internet and email access, plus a camera. It also includes a ‘Take Me Home’ feature that provides users with directions from their current position to their hotel.

Hotels that have agreed to partner the device by renting it to their guests on a daily basis include serviced apartment hotel Chi Residences.

While the device is currently only available in Hong Kong, plans exist to adapt the product for use in other cities in Asia, according to the firm.
