Michael Sengol steps down at Meritus

By Lachlan Colquhoun 11 July 2012

Michael Sengol has stood down from his role as chief executive officer of Meritus Hotels & Resorts, the hospitality division of Singapore's Overseas Union Enterprise (OUE).

OUE executive chairman Dr Stephen Riady announced the move, and said that Sengol had "delivered the business objectives" set for him when he returned to Singapore to take on the Meritus role in 2010.

"I am grateful for his contribution that led to greater awareness for our heritage hospitality brand and the unprecedented financial results he achieved for the division," Dr Riady said.

The current Meritus portfolio includes the flagship Mandarin Orchard Singapore, Marine Mandarin Singapore and the Meritus Shantou China.
