Marriott signs deal with HP

By HMA Staff 13 December 2010

The Australian division of Marriott International has announced it will be undergoing a networking upgrade using products from HP.

The hotel company announced it has selected HP E Series suite of routers, switches and controllers for the infrastructure upgrade.

It also said it will use HP E Series wireless multi-service controllers, access points and devices to provide wireless access for its guests.

“We believe these technologies are an important part of our guests’ overall experience and, as such, we need a reliable, high-performance network to ensure a smooth running, continuous service – which HP provides,” said Andre Baljeu, director, Field Technology, Asia Pacific Region, Regional Information Resources (I.R.) Office, Marriott International.

HP said it is partnering with hotel technology service provider DOCOMO InterTouch to deploy the HP E Series suite of routers and switch products in Marriott hotels in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne, with the full deployment expected to complete in August 2011.
