Marriott opens 720-room hotel in Shanghai

Marriott International has opened its 18^th hotel in Shanghai – a 720-room property located on Xizang Middle Road.

The 18th and largest hotel from Marriott International in Shanghai has opened its doors in the heart of the city centre.

The 39-storey Shanghai Marriott Hotel City Centre is intended as a flagship hotel for the Marriott Hotels & Resorts brand in China.

"Having opened several hotels with Marriott International in Shanghai and abroad, I truly believe that this hotel is poised to make a significant impact in the city,” said Meng Lo, General Manager of Shanghai Marriott Hotel City Centre.

The hotel boasts five restaurants and lounges while MICE facilities include a dedicated events floor featuring more than 2,000 sq m of multi-functional space, including two pillar-free ballrooms and seven break-out rooms.
