Marcel van Mierlo moves to Shangri-La hotel, Shenzhen

The Shangri-La hotel, Shenzhen, has appointed Marcel van Mierlo as general manager.
A Dutch national with over 20 years of hospitality management experience, van Mierlo has been with Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts for 12 years. He began his career at Island Shangri-La, Hong Kong before spending time at Kowloon Shangri-La, Hong Kong, and Shangri-La Hotel, Kuala Lumpur.
Before moving to Asia, he worked as a hotel manager in the Netherlands for more than eight years.
