Langham signs Eaton in Shenzhen

Langham Hospitality Group has announced it has signed its fifth Eaton property with the new property to be located in Shenzhen.

 

 
The group said it had signed a management agreement with Shenzhen Warmsun Real Estate Development to open the upscale Eaton Luxe, Shajing, Shenzhen, China in the Warmsun•International Complex in late 2013.

 

The 220-room luxury property will include three contemporary dining facilities, a 1,000 square metre ballroom as well as a host of meeting facilities to cater some of the city's special events.

 

Brett Butcher, CEO of Langham Hospitality Group said: "We're delighted to be part of Shenzhen's important urban renewal projects and look forward to great success with our forward-looking partners, Shenzhen Warmsun Real Estate Development.

 

"By introducing the essence of the international five-star Eaton Luxe hotel with its extensive space, sophisticated style and essential services, we will help create a revitalised hub in Shajing that is comparable to other urban renewal projects around the world."

 

The property forms part of a mixed used development that is part of an urban renewal project. It will include residential, commercial and retail elements in the heart of the Shenzhen's industrial zone. The Fortune 500 retail giant WalMart has also confirmed it will become an anchor tenant.

 

The first Eaton Luxe Hotel was opened in Nanqiao, Shanghai. Currently, three Eaton Smart brand hotels are open or in the pipeline include Hong Kong and India.

 

Langham Hospitality Group announced at the end of 2010 the signing of a management agreemnt with Shenzhen East Pacific Group for a property under its Langham brand in Shenzhen. The hotel is due to open in 2012.
