Lalit Suri Hospitality Group ends franchise deal with IHG

Indian hotel chain  The Lalit Suri Hospitality Group has announced that its Goa & Mumbai properties will be rebranded as The Lalit Golf & Spa Resort Goa and The Lalit Mumbai respectively, thus ending its franchise agreement with InterContinental Hotel Group (IHG).
 
From now on, all luxury hotels of the group today fly “THE LALIT” flag under The Lalit Suri Hospitality Group.
 
 “We have come a long way since birth of ‘The Lalit’ in 2008. With eight operational hotels and eight to open shortly, the group has shown rapid growth. Our strength lies in the fact that we own, manage and operate each of our properties,” Dr Jyotsna Suri, chairperson and managing director said. 
 
He added that the company will be launching its mid-segment hotel brand The Lalit Traveller by the end of the year.
 
Currently, the group owns, manages and operates eight properties including The Lalit New Delhi, The Lalit Mumbai, and The Lalit Ashok Bangalore in Business Hotels category, The Lalit Golf and Spa Resort Goa, The Lalit Temple View Khajuraho & The Lalit Resort & Spa Bekal (Kerala) in the Resorts category and The Lalit Grand Palace Srinagar and The Lalit Laxmi Vilas Palace Udaipur in the Palaces category. In the pipeline are The Lalit Jaipur, The Lalit Great Eastern Kolkata, The Lalit Ahmedabad, The Lalit Chandigarh, The Lalit Amritsar, The Lalit Dehradoon along with international projects The Lalit Grand Fort Dubai and The Lalit Resort & Spa Koh Samui (Thailand).
