I strongly agree with the MEA market penetration by Langham as mentioned by Josef Kufer. I've worked in Jeddah and Makkah and if there's an opportunity I will definitely go back there. The growth and expansion in Makkah is tremendous. With the ambitious plan by the Saudi government, Makkah is the place to be now and the coming years. To me its almost as "guaranteed" as every year pilgrims will congregate for Haj. This does not inlcude the "umrah: or "small pilgrimage" which is year round activity. Especially if you can get a site near the Harram area where the grand mosque is located, your hotel is in high demand. Not to forget, the challenge is to get employees. As it is in a holy place, it's employment regulation needs to be followed strictly. I am keen to go back there doing regional if any opportunity arises.
