InterContinental Danang opens doors

By Lachlan Colquhoun 27 June 2012

After six years of design and construction, Vietnam's InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort has opened its doors.

The Bill Bensley-designed resort has 197 roons, suits and beachfront villas all overlooking the South China Sea.

The resort also features the arrival of the first three-star Micheiin chef in Vietnam, with Michel Rous taking charge at the resort's signature restaurant La Maison 1888. Roux is best known as the founder of London's Waterside Inn restaurant.

InterContinental Danang comprises three restaurants and bars and is located 30 mins from Danang International Airport and only a few kilometres from the UNESCO-listed heritage site of Hue.
