Hotels offer amenities in online stores
By HMA Staff 13 December 2011
Major hotel brands are giving guests the ability to
buy branded (and non-branded) hotel amenities directly from the hotel. The newest hotel chain to participate, Hilton, offered Hilton HHonors loyalty members access to an online Global Shopping Mall. Items available in the store include fitness equipment and Tiffany jewelry.
Marriott International, which previously allowed the redemption of reward points for use in the purchase of free nights, now allows the accumulation of reward points to be spent at the online store for electronics, jewelry and fashion accessories. Ritz-Carlton is offering its online shopping website to everyone regardless of loyalty program admission, and it is even possible to buy mattresses from their online store.

Otherwise, I prefer the traditional way of doing my shopping.
