Hilton unveils new brand identity for Hilton Hotels
01 September 2010
Hilton Worldwide has refreshed its Hilton Hotels brand with the launch of a new name and logo.
From now on, the brand will be known as Hilton Hotels & Resorts, with the addition of ‘hotels and resorts’ to the name chosen to better differentiate the brand from its parent company.
The change is the first to the brand’s logo since 1998.
"Generations of global travelers share a strong connection with our brand identity," said Dave Horton, global head, Hilton Hotels & Resorts brand. "Our name and core mark are both recognizable and incredibly powerful. This evolution reflects the modern style and world-class resorts that define our brand today."
Hilton said the new logo will initially be used in brand activities and communications before being introduced at the property level in 2011.
Hilton Worldwide currently has more than 70 Hilton branded resorts worldwide, with an additional 11 resorts in the pipeline including a property in Hangzhou, China.
The move follows the launch of a global advertising campaign called ‘Stay Hilton. Go Everywhere’ earlier this year to promote the brand.
