Hilton signs three new China hotels

Hilton Worldwide has announced it has signed management agreements with New Huadu Industrial Group for three new hotels - a Waldorf Astoria-branded resort and a Hilton Hotels & Resorts property in Hainan, and a Hilton Hotels & Resorts property in Hunan.
 
The properties are scheduled to open between 2013 and 2014, and will add 930 hotel rooms to Hilton Worldwide’s pipeline in China.
 
“Hilton Worldwide has had a longstanding presence in China since we opened Hilton Shanghai in 1988. Not only are we one of the fastest growing hotel companies in terms of deals globally, we have a strong development pipeline in China,” said Christopher J. Nassetta, President & CEO of Hilton Worldwide.
 
“We have a total of 17 operating hotels, with more than 70 properties in various stages of development in China, and aim to expand our presence to more than 100 operating hotels in five years’ time. With its diversified business model, strong financial backing, and expertise in real estate development and management, New Huadu Industrial Group is an excellent and strategic business partner for Hilton Worldwide.”
 
Formed in 1997, New Huadu Industrial Group has a diversified business portfolio across various industries including mining, tourism, brewery, pharmaceutical, information technology and real estate.
