Fairmont deploys media gateway from Cables To Go

By HMA Staff 13 December 2011

Fairmont Raffles Hotels International (FRHI) has forged an agreement with connectivity solution firm Cables To Go whereby Cables To Go will provide connectivity panels for more of the company’s 10,000 guestrooms.

FRHI has three brands: Fairmont, Raffles and Swissotel.

TruLink® Media Gateway, which will be deployed at new builds and hotels undertaking renovation programs, allows guests to use their personal devices and equipment forr multimedia sharing and in-room entertainment.

Hotel guests connect their personal media device to TruLink Media Gateway, which then automatically detects the port being used, selects the HDMI input on the in-room TV and transmits the content. Devices that can be connected include laptops, portable media devices, DVD or Blu-ray™ players, gaming consoles and similar equipment.

"The connectivity panel from Cables To Go supports our philosophy of making technology accessible and easy to use for our guests," said Vineet Gupta, senior vice president, technology, FRHI.
