Wyndham Grand Plaza Royale Oriental Shanghai has appointed Brian W. Dechant as general manager.

A Canadian national, Dechant’s previous experience includes stints at InterContinental and Hyatt International hotels in Europe, and Le Meridien, Regal Hotels International, Millennium & Copthorne, and Jin Jiang International Hotels in Asia.
 
He was previously vice president operations – Greater China with Howard Johnson International (China).
