Choice Hotels in agreement with InRoom Broadcasting

By Lachlan Colquhoun 18 July 2012

Lodging franchiser Choice Hotels International and InRoom Broadcasting Network have announced a seven year agreement covering sales, marketing and support for InRoom's bundled systems and services.

Choice will offer the suite of InRoom products to operators and owners of each of its eleven hotel brands throughout the world.

In most cases, InRoom will replace and/or manage all the telecom, media and internet services and the associated costs together with a new interactive TV system with no out of pocket costs to franchise owners and operators, providing a single source for all of the hotel's technology bundled into a single monthly payment.

Available services include IPTV systems, cable and satellite HD free to guest programming packages, TV Internet, VoIP, movies, music, games, social media and loyalty programs, all delivered through InRoom's sales channels.

"InRoom is a powerful addition to Choice's Qualified Vendor Program," said Rick Summa, vice president of procurement for Choice Hotels International.

"Their product offerings and business models will empower franchisees to improve the customer experience and technology capabilities for all Choice Hotels brand properties."
