Chinese executives travel the most in 2012: Accor survey

By Lachlan Colquhoun 15 August 2012

Business travellers from mainland China were the most frequent travelers in the Asia-Pacific region in the first half of this year, making 17 trips on average or nearly double that of a year ago, according to a new survey.

The increase was mainly due to a surge in domestic trips during the January-June period, which saw 14 trips completed on average by Chinese mainland travelers, hotel operator Accor said in its latest Asia-Pacific Business Traveler Research.

Accor interviewed more than 2,500 people from nine countries and regions who made business trips in the first six months of this year to compile the information.
