Aloft innovates with iPad concierge

By HMA Staff 17 January 2012

USA Today reports that Starwood's Aloft Hotels brand is piloting a digital concierge program using the Apple iPad device to supply guests with the ability to research their stay and print boarding passes. The iPads have been installed in the lobby of five Alofts so far, and the program will roll out to another 11 properties in the near future. "Our guests tend to be independent and tech-savvy so the tablet-based concierge program allows them to conveniently plan their schedules in a familiar way that enhances their overall experience," said Brian McGuinness, SVP of specialty select brands for Starwood, in a written statement according to USA Today.
